Area of Expertise
Dr. Randy Shaver is an Associate Professor in the Dairy Science Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His extension and research programs focus on applied nutrition of lactating dairy cattle. Randy has authored or co-authored 60 peer-review journal publications, 95 scientific abstracts, 85 popular-press articles in industry trade magazines, and over 200 newsletter articles, extension handouts or bulletins, and internet publications. He has presented over 300 invited papers at industry conferences in 40 states. Additionally, he has been an invited speaker for dairy producer and feed industry audiences in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Japan, Italy, Korea, Mexico, and seven provinces in Canada.
