Area of Expertise
Jud Heinrichs is a Professor of Dairy Science at The Pennsylvania State University, and has been a member of the faculty for 26 years. He has a research and extension appointment in the area of dairy nutrition and feeding management. His research programs focus on dairy calves and heifers from a standpoint of nutrition and management. He also researches dairy cow feeding management and was a co-developer of the Penn State Particle Separator, which is a device that is used around the world by dairy nutritionists to better define forage and total mixed ration particle size. His extension work closely follows his research program and has a focus on feeding management and dairy replacements.
