Area of Expertise
Dr. Alex White focuses on financial and retirement planning strategies for agricultural producers and small business owners. He has taught a wide variety of college courses at Ohio State, North Carolina State University, and Virginia Tech for the past 15 years. The courses he has taught include Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Financial Management, Farm Business Management, Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Computer Applications in Agriculture and Personal Financial Management. Dr. White also has experience with agricultural software and served Virginia agribusinesses as an extension agent and an extension specialist (personal financial management) for Virginia Cooperative Extension. In addition to his roles in the classroom and industry, Dr. White advises several undergraduate student organizations and has coached the National Champion Express Financial Planning Invitational team.
